This is my attempt at recreating the Graviton Lance Exotic weapon with the Carina Nebula ornament, as seen in Destiny 2. For the render, I also decided to model and texture the golden regional chests you can find in the game. For this render, I started with the rifle by modelling the gun based on images taken of the gun in the game. i then went into substance painter to make the textures of the gun along with the spiral design seen on the barrel. for the weapons galaxy design, I used blenders shading tab while following an amazing tutorial made by ‘Mario Liang

This project required a total of 2 days to complete, encompassing the entire process of modeling, texturing, lighting setup, and rendering for both objects. The meticulous attention to detail during modeling ensured accuracy and fidelity to the original designs of both the Graviton Lance Exotic weapon with the Carina Nebula ornament and the golden regional chests from Destiny 2.

In Substance Painter, I dedicated considerable time to perfecting the textures, ensuring each element, from the intricate patterns on the weapon to the aged textures of the chest was faithfully recreated. Setting up the lighting was another crucial aspect, as it played a significant role in enhancing the overall visual impact of the render, particularly in accentuating the glow effects and highlighting the intricate details of the models Bungie made for the game.

For a more comprehensive view of the work in progress and additional images, please visit my ArtStation profile, where I have documented the evolution of this project from its initial stages to completion.

For the chest featured in this render, I followed a similar meticulous process as with the weapon. Initially, I captured various in-game images of the chest under different lighting conditions to ensure accuracy. Using these references, I created a basic mesh of the chest, meticulously unwrapping it to prepare for texture application.

In Substance Painter, I meticulously applied textures to replicate the chest's golden metal accents and rough black metal surfaces, aiming to mirror its in-game appearance authentically. Each detail, from the intricate patterning to the weathered textures, was carefully crafted to enhance realism.

Furthermore, I employed Blender's emission nodes to create realistic lighting effects on the chest, magazine, barrel, and sights of the weapon. This technique was crucial in achieving the prominent glow reminiscent of the game's visuals, adding depth and realism to the entire scene.
