This is another project inspired by the Destiny franchise, specifically based on the Circuited Polesitter Exotic ship from Destiny 2. In this render, my goal was to depict the ship in motion through space, reminiscent of the dynamic loading screens seen in the game. To achieve this effect, I focused on capturing the sense of speed and movement through careful positioning and lighting.
Additionally, I aimed to give the ship a more weathered and rugged appearance compared to its pristine look in the game. This is evident in the textures, where I meticulously added dirt, scratches, and wear along the ship's panels and edges. These details help add realism but also enhance the narrative of a ship that has seen its share of adventures in the universe.
The complete render of this project required a total of 3 days to finalize. The initial 2 days were dedicated to meticulously creating the ship's base mesh and applying detailed textures to capture its distinctive features. During this phase, I focused on achieving a balance between accuracy and creative interpretation, ensuring the ship maintained its recognizable identity while also incorporating a rugged, battle-worn aesthetic.
The final day was dedicated to scene setup, rendering, and compositing. This crucial phase involved positioning the ship within a space environment to convey a sense of motion and depth, akin to the immersive loading screens found in Destiny 2. It also included optimizing lighting and fine-tuning effects to enhance the overall atmosphere and visuals of the render.
Despite the inherent challenges of recreating such a complex design, I am genuinely pleased with the outcome. While it may not be a flawless replication of the original ship, I believe this interpretation effectively captures its essence and narrative within a dynamic sci-fi setting.

To create the engine trails for the ship, I utilized Blender's built-in shader tab and incorporated a principled volume node. This setup involved a mix of a noise texture and a gradient texture, carefully adjusted to achieve a dynamic and convincing effect. I'm particularly pleased with how these elements combined to produce a trail that authentically mirrors those seen in sci-fi settings, adding to the ship's sense of speed and propulsion.
In addition, for the glowing effect along the ship, I employed emission nodes. These nodes were useful in replicating the distinctive glow seen on the original ship in Destiny 2. By tuning the emission settings, I ensured the glow not only enhanced the ship's visual appeal but also maintained fidelity to its in-game depiction while not being to bright to further show the idea of the ships wear.
